Marilyn & Casper are Walking in the Believe Walk
Casper is participating in Bark and Believe and I am joining Team Presbyterian! (I might bark a little.) What a fun and purposeful way to be the church in the world with good friends.
What is Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer Believe Walk?
The “Believe Walk” brings a community together with a purpose; to support cancer survivors, cancer patients, and their families in the Inland Empire communities of Southern California. Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer started the Believe Walk with a simple vision, to create an event that honors cancer survivors and support those who are still on their cancer journey.
Why am I walking/running/strolling in the 5k at the Believe Walk?
We in the Inland Empire, where the population is larger than that of 24 states, deserve the best in cancer care. Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer has made a commitment that each dollar raised through the Believe Walk will stay in the Inland Empire. That is why I have joined the efforts of thousands in my community to support the Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer’s Believe Walk! I have known those who cancer has taken too early and even more who survive. My Mom and Dad are both survivors thanks to advanced technology. While I had a very easy version, I am technically a survivor thanks to a plastic surgeon who gave me a nice face lift while taking off a piece of my scalp. So I'll be wearing sunscreen and a hat!
Why join/support me?
By donating you will be a part of a life-changing event that brings together a community with one purpose; to support cancer survivors, those who are still in treatment and their families that live right here in our community- the Inland Empire. And I love this active way of walking faith - within neighborhood and faith communiites. And since I'm out of shape, like some other new faith practices, it will probably have its pain points, but that's where the growth is - the discomfort zone. Let's DO this!
I hope we can count on your support!
