What is Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer BELIEVE WALK?
The "Believe Walk" brings a community together with a very significant purpose: to suppport cancer survivors, cancer patients and their families in the Inland Empire communities of Southern California. Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer started the Believe Walk twelve years ago with a simple vision - to create an event that honors cancer survivors and support those who are still on their cancer journey. As it has expanded the Believe Walk has also supported research for the treatment of cancer that is taking place in the Inland Empire.
What is the Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer Mission?
The mission is to raise critical funds that support cancer-fighting organizations in this region. Through the generosity of sponsors and donors the Believe Walk directly impacts lives by providing funds to improve cancer care and support services for cancer patients and their families throughout the Inland Empire communities of Southern California.
Why am I walking in the 2019 5k Believe Walk?
We in the Inland Empire - where the population is larger than that of 24 states - deserve the best in cancer care. Stater Bros. Charities & Inland Women Fighting Cancer have made a commitment that each dollar raised through the Believe Walk will stay in the Inland Empire. That is why I have participated in the Believe Walk each year since its establishment and that is why I invite family and friends to support me each year. And that is why I personally contribute to this cause.
Why support me?
By donating generously you will be part of a life-changing event that brings a community together with one purpose: to support cancer survivors, those who are still in treatment and their families that live right here in the Inland Empire.
Is there anything different about MY participating in the 2019 Believe Walk?
Sadly, over the last year a number of very dear friends have died from cancer. One of them, Nancy Varner, was one of the three women who established the Believe Walk and gained the full support of our mutual friend Jack Brown who was the CEO of Stater Bros. Markets. Recently my dear friends Cherrie Lubey and Gloria Cutler died of cancer. I will be especially thinking of them as I join thousands of others in the 2019 12th Annual Believe Walk.
