The health and well-being of our community is our top priority and out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, the Believe Walk is going virtual. Cancer patients are among the most vulnerable and need our help now more than ever! Together, while apart, we can walk in solidarity to make a life-changing difference in the lives of cancer patients.

When and where is the 2020 Believe Walk?
We encourage you to participate in the virtual Believe Walk on Sunday, October 4th between 9:00 am 12:00 pm at a location of your choice. Opening Ceremony starts at 9:00 am on Facebook.

What is a virtual walk?
A virtual walk is a real walk, but on your terms. You get to choose your own course, what time you start, and who walks next to you!

How long is the walk?
You get to choose your own course, select a distance that is right for you.

What do I do the day of the walk?
Enjoy virtual Believe Walk festivities and connect with the Believe Walk community through social media at Facebook or Instagram. Share your photos and videos using #believewalk.

Can my pet participate?
Yes, we’re sure they would love to go for a walk! We encourage you to dress up your pet and share photos using #believewalk.

Is there a registration fee?
Yes, there is a $25 registration fee for all age groups. Your registration is 100% tax deductible and supports local cancer programs.

What’s included in the registration fee?
All registered participants will receive a virtual event bag. A link will be emailed the day of the event to access the virtual event bag. (For registered participants only, donations are not included)

What is a virtual event bag?
The virtual event bag is a digital platform where participants can redeem exclusive offers, resources and information provided by our event sponsors.

Should I register ahead of time?
Yes, the earlier you join, the more time you have to fundraise! Registering online gives you access to great fundraising tools and keeps you updated on event day details.

Do previous participants need login credentials?
No, login credentials are no longer required.

Can I register multiple individuals with the same email?
No. Each participant is required to register with their unique email.

I’ve registered, where do I get my walk bib?
Your walk bib will be emailed to you and available to download the week of the walk.

Will I receive an event t-shirt?
T-shirts will not be included this year, but you can earn exclusive Believe Walk gifts when you achieve fundraising milestones. It’s our way of saying “Thank You” for your fundraising efforts!

Can I participate in the Believe Walk if I'm not on a team?
Absolutely! You can walk and fundraise individually.

How do I connect with the Believe Walk community?
GET TAGGING! Using hashtags will connect you to other walkers and help the entire community rally around the event. Use #believewalk in your posts and search these hashtags to see what other walkers are doing and saying.

Can I start a team?
Yes, you can start a team and we hope you do! Once you have completed registration click “Confirm and Sign me up”, It’s that easy.

Can I reform a team?
At this time we are not able to reform past teams.

Do my team members have to register?
Yes, all participants who would like to receive a virtual event bag will have to register. Registration fees are 100% tax-deductible and considered a full donation.

*Participants who donate but do not register for the event will not receive a virtual event bag.

Are teams assigned a team captain?
The first participant to register is assigned to team captain. If at anytime the team captain changes, contact customer support believewalksupport@staterbros.com to reassign the team captain position.

How do I access my team fundraising page?
Click the “Edit My Page” link in your confirmation email. You can set a goal, share a personal story and upload photos. Tip: bookmark your page for quick and easy access!

How can my team fundraise?

What does my fundraising support?
Your fundraising supports Believe Walk grants that benefit cancer centers, programs and support services for survivors, cancer patients and their families in the Inland Empire. To learn more visit Your Donations at Work in Your Community

What if I cannot participate in the virtual walk but I want to fundraise?
Attendance on the day of the walk is not required. If you are unable to attend, you can still register online and fundraise or print the pledge form to collect donations.

What do I do with the checks/cash that I collect?
Mail the donations and pledge form to: Stater Bros. Charities, Believe Walk P.O. Box 150 San Bernardino, CA 92402.

Am I required to fundraise?
No, however, this is a community fundraising event and we encourage every participant to invite friends, family and coworkers to join your fundraising efforts to support cancer patients in our communities.

Is there a fundraising minimum?
No, and there’s no maximum either! Every donation will help get you one step closer to your goal!

Is there a deadline for fundraising?
You can continue to fundraise through December 31, 2020.

Will I be recognized for fundraising?
Yes! You can earn exclusive Believe Walk gifts when you achieve fundraising milestones. It’s our way of saying “Thank You” for your fundraising efforts!

When will I receive my fundraising gift(s)?
For each milestone you reach, a link will be emailed to you by the end of the event to complete your order. The gift(s) will be mailed to the address provided during registration.

Is there a deadline for achieving fundraising milestones?
You can continue to fundraise and earn Believe Walk gifts through December 31, 2020.
